Sanibel Island is a beautiful tropical paradise located three miles off the
mainland of Fort Myers, Florida. An island connecting causeway offering
panoramic views welcomes you to Sanibel.
This environmentally conscious island is comprised of over 60% vegetation.
There are no high rises (4 stories maximum) and no traffic lights. It is a
great place to enjoy a leisurely or well deserved vacation. You can do nothing
or almost anything.

Relaxation, water and naturalist activities consume the time of most vacationers.
Young children love to play in the gentle, nonintimidating Gulf water. You can
look for sand dollars or starfish several hundred feet into the Gulf at low tide
and only be in four feet of water.
Fishing from shore, renting or chartering boats, canoeing through the Ding
Darling Nature Preserve and parasailing are among the many water based activities.
Carol has "majored" in floating on a raft and Russ gets pleasure out
of fishing right in front of the condo. We both look forward to placing our beach
chairs (6 provided) in the water at the shoreline while enjoying "refreshments".

A Word About Restaurants
Sanibel offers a variety of truly outstanding, moderately priced, restaurants.
There are restaurants that cater to families as well as those that offer an
intimate, candlelit dinner for two. From seafood (Sanibel's specialty) to
steak, every palate can be satisfied.
The Suggestion Book that we personally developed includes a large section on
restaurant recommendations. We also provide menus for almost all restaurants.
Carol loves not cooking, even though we have a full service kitchen.
